Connect EasyInvoiceFlow to ChatGPT or Claude
Ask an AI assistant about your invoices, customers and quotes, or have it prepare drafts for you to check in EasyInvoiceFlow. Connecting is optional and takes about two minutes.
What you can ask
- "Which invoices are still unpaid?"
- "Who owes me money this month?"
- "Create a customer called Acme Plumbing with ABN 52 702 090 168."
- "Draft an invoice for Acme Plumbing for 3 hours of consulting at $120 an hour."
Drafts are saved in EasyInvoiceFlow. Check them in the app before you send them.
Before you start
- An EasyInvoiceFlow account with your business setup finished.
- A ChatGPT account (the free plan works) or a Claude account. Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
- This connector address:
https://mcp.easyinvoiceflow.com/mcp
Connect ChatGPT (on the web)
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins, select Add, then custom MCP server.
- In Name, type EasyInvoiceFlow. In Connection, paste
https://mcp.easyinvoiceflow.com/mcp. Under Authentication, choose OAuth. - Tick I understand and want to continue, then select Create as a plugin.
- Select Connect. EasyInvoiceFlow opens.
- Sign in with your email and password, Google or Apple. If we ask you to accept updated policies, review them and continue.
- Check the business, the provider and what the assistant can do, then select Approve. You return to ChatGPT.
- Start a new chat, type @, choose EasyInvoiceFlow and ask a question, for example "How many invoices do I have?"
On a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, your admin may need to allow custom connectors first.
Connect Claude (web or desktop)
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, ask an owner to add it first.
- Name it EasyInvoiceFlow, paste
https://mcp.easyinvoiceflow.com/mcpand select Add. - Select Connect and sign in to EasyInvoiceFlow.
- Check the business, the provider and what the assistant can do, then select Approve.
- In a chat, turn on EasyInvoiceFlow in the connectors menu and ask a question.
Once connected, you can also use the connector in the Claude mobile app.
What the assistant can and cannot do
- It can read your customers, invoices, quotes and saved items, and create customers, saved items and draft invoices and quotes.
- It cannot send emails, delete anything, record payments, or change your settings, users or billing.
- Assistants can make mistakes. Always check customer details, prices, tax and totals before you issue a document.
- Never type passwords, verification codes or personal tax numbers (such as a TFN, IRD number or PAN) into a chat. Business numbers (ABN, ACN and NZBN) are fine.
- Your EasyInvoiceFlow plan limits apply as usual. We do not charge extra for connecting.
Disconnect
- In EasyInvoiceFlow, open Account settings, then Connected apps, and select Disconnect next to the assistant.
- Also remove EasyInvoiceFlow from the assistant's plugins or connectors.
Disconnecting stops further access. It does not delete documents already created, and information already shared stays with the assistant provider under its own terms.
Troubleshooting
"This app is not allowed"
Only ChatGPT and Claude can connect. If you see this in one of them, contact support with a screenshot (hide personal details).
"Return to your assistant and connect again"
The sign-in request expired after 10 minutes. Start the connection again from the assistant.
"Complete business setup in the app, then try again"
Finish your business setup in EasyInvoiceFlow, then ask again.
"Too many requests"
Wait a minute, then try again.
"Reconnect your assistant to continue"
Your access expired or was disconnected. Connect again from the assistant.
The assistant doesn't show an ABN
Ask it for the customer's business IDs. ABN, ACN and NZBN are shared only when you ask.
Your privacy
Connecting is optional, and access is limited to the business and permissions you approve. The assistant provider handles what it receives under its own terms. Read our AI Assistant Policy, Privacy Policy section 6.1 and Terms of Service section 12.1.
